AMBERIAN DAWN Preparing To Record New Album

November 23, 2009

Finnish female-fronted symphonic metallers AMBERIAN DAWN have issued the following update:

"Preparations for the third AMBERIAN DAWN album are well underway. Tuomas [Seppälä; lead guitar, keyboards], who composes music for AMBERIAN DAWN, has all the new songs ready and Heidi [Parviainen; vocals] has already started writing lyrics. Recordings begin on November 23rd and the first 'victim' is our drummer Joonas [Pykälä-Aho]. He has just got his brand new Tama Starclassic drum kit and it will be interesting to find out how the set sounds in the studio.

"The new album is going to be more diverse, faster and darker than our previous albums. The fastest AMBERIAN DAWN songs to date contrast some extremely slow and heavy songs. There's even going to be a classical music piece. Some guest stars are going to featured on this album."

AMBERIAN DAWN recently completed a European tour as the support band for EPICA. Also appearing on the bill was SONS OF SEASONS, the new progressive/symphonic metal band led by keyboardist/guitarist Oliver Palotai (KAMELOT, DORO).

Video footage of AMBERIAN DAWN performing the song "River of Tuoni" on June 5, 2009 at the Sweden Rock festival in Sölvesborg, Sweden can be viewed below.

AMBERIAN DAWN's second album, "The Clouds of Northland Thunder" was released in Europe on June 29 via Ascendance Records.

AMBERIAN DAWN guitarist Tuomas Seppälä, who has played the keyboards in the studio on the band's albums, recently became the group's full-time keyboardist. The new AMBERIAN DAWN axeman is Emil Pohjalainen, who is described as "a talented shredder from Finland."
